I was thrilled to acquire this photograph taken by Kovert of Hollywood of Larry Carr posing with Tom Mathews.

Depictions of nude men battling one another was an effort by photographers in the 1950's to circumvent censors, an image like this one much more common in the McCarthy era than the photograph you will see when you jump to this post on the blog of these men holding hands.
