Walt Covert Photographed by Champion Stuido

When you jump to this post, this one and this one on the blog, you can see photographs taken by Champion Studio of Walt Covert posing in realistic settings.

So, the whimsical nature of this photograph of Covert protecting a stuffed animal from an equally unreal alligator is a treasure, instantly bringing to mind works by today's photographers like Pierre et Gilles, who owe their artistic freedom to Walter Kundzicz and other photographers who fought during much of the last century for the right to photograph men and nude adults in the manner they chose.
