John Hadnagy and Joe Leitel Photographed by Apollo

When I acquired these photographs of John Hadnagy wrestling Joe Leitel taken by Apollo, I was at last able to identify on the blog two other images  - at this post and this one - of the duo.

I hope you have enjoyed the photographs I added to the blog today, and I wish you all the best in 2013.

I hope to acquire more photographs in this series taken by Apollo of Johnny Yuma battling Link Ramon.

John Hadnagy and Joe Leitel Photographed by Apollo

UPDATED January 1, 2013: I laughed when I acquired this photograph of Joe Leitel and John Hadnagy wearing jockstraps.

When you jump to this post on the blog, you can see the duo in one of my favorite images of vintage beefcake models "attempting to wrestle."

UPDATED January 1, 2013: I suspect many a gay man similarly misunderstands the proper wardrobe and ways to score points in a wrestling match.

After searching for nearly two years, I am pleased to have identified these models as John Hadnagy astride Joe Leitel. Apollo took this photograph and others from this series you can view by clicking below on the label, "Apollo."

Kip Behar by Apollo

Here's another great photograph of Kip Behar.

Taken by Apollo, this image again shows how strong the Western motif was in 1950's America. I suspect many viewers of the widely popular Western television shows wished the male leads of the programs ran around like this.
