Model Catalog by the Athletic Model Guild

I must thank a generous fan of this blog for this extraordinary catalog of models taken by the Athletic Model Guild.

It explains the naming system applied to the physique photographs Bob Mizer took. And it provides the names of models I've marked as "unknown" for years.

Depending on your browser speed, this catalog might take a moment to open on your computer.

I have been obsessed with this image taken by the Athletic Model Guild since I first discovered it online. I worked briefly at the Athletic Model Guild in El Cerrito, California, to where it moved from Los Angeles after Bob Mizer's death; but I do not recall seeing these models in any of the photographs and negatives I reviewed.

I was told today the models are Joe Ciulla and Angelo Noto, who is seated on the right and has a tattoo climbing up his upper arm that I am trying to decipher.

I love the look in their eyes: both men seem to realize at the same moment his opponent wants to kiss him as much as he wants to be kissed.
