Unknown Model Photographed by John Arnt

John Arnt took this photograph of this massive, unknown model.

It is the photographer's use of a single light source and repetition of the sword and this location that have enabled me to identify this image as his.

John worked in Seattle, Washington and is best known for his sepia-toned printing.

I believe he took all of his physique photographs in the 1940's.

John is quickly becoming one of my favorite photographers. Unfortunately, I only have a handful of his images. His selection of models as well as the kinetic charge palpable in each of his photographs are stellar.

I think Curtis was matinee-idol handsome.
