I must thank a generous fan of this blog for this catalog of images taken by the Athletic Model Guild.

As you can read near the bottom, Bob Mizer writes that additional photographs of some models wouldn't be available until the summer of 1949.

Without this catalog, I wonder if I'd ever discover Jack Porter is the handsome blond in the accompanying image.

The first three images starting at the top left feature Howard Olsen and Jack Harris. I greatly enjoy every image of Harris I find.

The other beach duo is Jimmy Lewis and Buddy Young.

The two posing in the studio are unknown to me.

You can find this image in the Volume 8, Number 4 issue of Bob Mizer's magazine Physique Pictorial, in which Mizer writes: "Howard operates his own landscaping service in West Lost Angeles while Jack is a fireman."

As you might know, I'm currently sorting Denny Denfield's negatives. He joined Bob Mizer for at least one joint photo shoot with Howard Olsen and Jack Harris at this locale.

When you click on Olsen's name label directly below this post, you can see Mizer's photographs of the model posing solo and with other men in this sandy spot.

It's fun to know that more half a century ago Denfield and Mizer were here together taking photographs.

My favorite in this post is of Jack standing at the beach, his left hand resting on his abdomen. I think his muscular physique and hairy forearms are fantastic.

I do not know the name of the model with whom he poses in one photograph.
