Bill Melby

Bill Melby looks great in these photographs taken in the 1950's.

I suspect the images of him posing with the beach ball were taken by Bruce of Los Angeles, but I am waiting for confirmation.

Bill Melby

Bill Melby won the title Mr. Pacific Coast in 1948 and became a popular model photographed by the top beefcake photographers in the 1950's.

In the latter part of that decade, he launched a very successful wrestling career. He won numerous titles, including the NWA Texas Tag Team title with Pepper Gomez (about whom you can learn a bit by jumping to this post on the blog) when the duo defeated Mr. Moto and Duke Keomukda in November, 1957.

These images of Melby were taken later in his career.
