Sigfried and Hans Latschkowski Photographed by the Athletic Model Guild
Bob Mizer at the Athletic Model Guild took this photograph of brothers Sigfried and Hans Latschkowski.
Because Bruce of Los Angeles features the brothers in a sprawling spread in Volume 20 of his magazine The Male Figure, I'm going to assume Mizer here misprints Sigfried's first name.

Unknown Bodybuilders Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles
Here are two great photographs at bodybuilding competitions taken by Bruce of Los Angeles.
In the early 1940’s, Bruce moved to Southern California and began working as a freelance photographer, documenting bodybuilding competitions. He was soon a staff photographer for Joe Weider's bodybuilding publications and spent much of his time traveling to bodybuilding contests in several states. His photographs appeared in such magazines as Strength and Health, Muscle Power, and Tomorrow's Man.
In the 1950’s, he began publishing his own magazine, The Male Figure.
To learn a bit more about the rise in popularity of bodybuilding - or, more specifically, of bodybuilders - please jump to this post on the blog and read the comments section.

Joe Napoli

In 1965, Joe Napoli appears in the thirty-fourth volume of Bruce of Los Angeles' magazine, The Male Figure.I do not know who took the photographs in this post, but do know David Martin photographed Joe in the San Francisco Bay Area when the model went by the name Greg Bradford.
You can see one of Martin's images when you jump to this post on the blog.

Emil Swoboda Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles

Bruce of Los Angeles took these great photographs of Emil Swoboda, who appears in the seventeenth volume of The Male Figure magazine by Bruce of Los Angeles.
I especially like the outdoor image of Emil blowing the horn.
The blurb in the magazine says Emil was twenty-one when these images were taken, and that he was five feet, five inches tall and weighed one-hundred-forty-five pounds.

Ben Montgomery by Bruce of Los Angeles

Ben Montgomery was another popular beefcake model in the 1950's. He appears in the premiere issue of The Male Figure by Bruce of Los Angeles.
I am not certain, but suspect the nudes were also photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles, who had a gift for convincing bodybuilders to disrobe completely for his camera.
