Unknown Models

UPDATED March 18, 2012: I can't determine who these models are. Any help from you would be greatly appreciated.

I especially like the servicemen posing outdoors and the two men wrestling.

With a few readers' help, I've been able to remove a model from this list of unknowns and give him his own post.

Nestor Derkach

When I came across this image of Nestor Derkach, I realized it was from one of his photo shoots shown in an earlier post on this blog.

In a photograph in that post, the chair has its back to the camera and Nestor wears only the posing pouch we see him adjusting here.

Steve Wengryn

Here are seven more photographs of Steve Wengryn, who was a very popular model in the 1950's. Most - if not all - of the major beefcake photographers had him model for them at some point during his long career.

Danny Wells by the Athletic Model Guild

Bob Mizer of the Athletic Model Guild captured this image of Danny Wells, who couldn't look more like a guy from the 1950's, unless he wore blue jeans and a white tee shirt.

Don Fuller

If you read this blog while you collect the photographs, then you know Don Fuller is one of my favorite beefcake models. I was thrilled to acquire these images, especially the one of him lying nude on the blanket.

I do not know who he poses with in the photograph taken in a studio.

Bill Lamm

Bill Lamm was another popular physique model. He is on the cover of the seventh volume of The Male Figure by Bruce of Los Angeles. I suspect the photograph of him with his hands clasped behind his head is by Bruce of Los Angeles, but I'm not sure who took the others.

George O'Mara
