Zaro Rossi Photographed by David Martin

Zaro Rossi has to be one of the best looking models David Martin ever photographed.

Zaro has a radiant smile.

David Martin writes in his notes that Zaro was a bodybuilder at the time these images were taken.

David George Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles

Bruce of Los Angeles took these great images of David George.

I am hunting down more images of this handsome, muscular model.

Dick Pardee Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles

Bruce of Los Angeles took this great image of Dick Pardee as an American Indian, a very popular motif in the pop culture of 1950's America.

I more than strongly suspect beefcake photographers indulged in this motif because it was yet another excuse to photograph their models nearly nude - and bypass the censors.

Bob Jackson

I know nothing about Bob Jackson but suspect these photographs were taken in the 1960's.

If you read this blog regularly, then you know I have a weakness for muscular, fair-haired men.

Jack Thomas

Jack Thomas was a very popular beefcake model.

Of course, he is likely most remembered for posing nude outdoors with Jack LaLanne. You can see some of those images by jumping to this post in the blog.

However, as you can see in these two photographs, Jack Thomas had a fantastic physique, and it was no mistake Russ Warner paired him with Jack LaLanne, the man who was to embody the fitness craze that swept over 1950's America.

Marc Arno

I believe all of these images were taken by the Western Photography Guild, but want to confirm this before I identify them as such.

The massive model is Marc Arno, who appeared in various publications in the 1970's like Queen's Quarterly (or QQ for Gay Guys).

I am hunting down more images of this very muscular man.

Larry Scott and Carter Lovisone Photographed by the Western Photography Guild

The Western Photography Guild took this great image of Larry Scott fighting Carter Lovisone.

I am tracking down more photographs from this series and of Carter, who I think has a fantastic physique.

Steve Wengryn

There are so many outstanding images of Steve Wengryn, I have the luxury of breaking them down into thematic sets, this one being "Steve at rest."

In one photograph, I believe he is reading the premiere issue of the beefcake magazine, Fizeek, which was published in 1959 and features on the cover Glenn Bishop in a photograph by Bob Delmonteque.

Mark Nixon by the Athletic Model Guild

The Athletic Model Guild took this great image of Mark Nixon, who was photographed by most - if not, all - of the famous beefcake photographers.

Kim Fox and Hugh Pendleton Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles

Bruce of Los Angeles took these outstanding images of Kim Fox and Hugh Pendleton in the desert.

I am hunting down more photographs from this series.

Harold Adducci and Paul Labriola by the Western Photography Guild

Here are two more great images of Paul Labriola wrestling Harold Adducci taken by the Western Photography Guild.

Gene Eberle Photographed by the Athletic Model Guild

The Athletic Model Guild took these outstanding photographs of Gene Eberle.

I especially like the one of him turning away from the camera and beaming his smile at someone or something out of view.

Marvin Eder Photographed by Lon

Lon took this outstanding image of Marvin Eder, of whom I know nothing.

I am tracking down more photographs of this massive bodybuilder.

Keith Stephan

Here are more fantastic images of Keith Stephan, one of the more massive bodybuilders who was a very popular model in the 1950's.

Gil Seneschall Photographed by the Athletic Model Guild

The Athletic Model Guild took these great images of Gil Seneschall, of whom I know nothing.

John Hamill

In the 1960's, John Hamill was a very popular physique model in the United Kingdom.

I'll add more images from my collection of this handsome blonde in due course.
