This great image of Willy Schmeltzkopf was taken by an unknown photographer around 1913.
From the 1880's to the early part of the twentieth century, strongmen demonstrating their amazing strength at circuses and freak shows across North America and Europe were frequently photographed nude save for a fig leaf.
