Bob Koklick Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles

Bruce of Los Angeles took these nice photographs of Bob Koklick, whose unfortunate surname is surely a nom de porn.

While Bob Mizer at the Athletic Model Guild refused to allow his models to use fake names, Bruce had no such rule for the men who posed for him.

I can't decide whether I prefer Bob's flattop or his crooked smile in the photograph in which he sits nude.

Johnny Glynn Photographed by the Athletic Model Guild

The Athletic Model Guild took these very different images of Johnny Glynn.

Though his massive arms and shoulders look fantastic in both photographs, I particularly like the image of him grinning over his shoulder at the camera.

Robert Fedell Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles

I am thrilled to add to my collection these photographs of Robert Fedell taken by Bruce of Los Angeles.

Both images do a magnificent job at showcasing his massive thighs.

Unknown Model

I loved this series of photographs the first time I stumbled upon it. I think the model is quite handsome, and like that he takes his physique modeling very seriously.

Tommy Haxton Photographed by Bob Anthony

Bob Anthony took these great images of Tommy Haxton missing much of his uniform while playing football and basketball.

I have misplaced a third image from this series, but will add it to the blog in due course.

I believe Bob took these photographs in the late 1960's.

Frank Affrunti

Lucky me to have so many readers happy to provide me with images from their collections. In this post on the blog, which includes another image, I had originally listed Frank Affrunti as an unknown model.

Here, the photograph of Frank holding the sword overhead was taken by Lon. I do not know who photographed the other image.

I think he has a fantastic physique.

Ed Siemens Photographed by David Martin

In the early 1950's, David Martin took these nice images of Ed Siemens, of whom I am tracking down more information.

I think Ed has a fantastic abdomen.

Unknown Models Photographed by Earle Forbes

I enjoy researching information on models and photographers and was excited to come across this image of these men taken by Earle Forbes on Fire Island around 1940.

Please jump to this post on the blog to see another photograph from this series.

Arthur Turgeon Photographed by Joe Weber

Joe Weber took these nice images of Arthur Turgeon in the 1960's.

Though it's clear these photographs were designed to highlight Arthur's impressive upper torso, I find my gaze drawn to his very well-defined, muscular thighs.

I am hunting down more information on both the model and photographer.

Quentin Smith

I hope to track down more photographs of Quentin Smith, who I think has a spectacular back.

I suspect this image was taken by Lon, but I have not yet been able to confirm this.

Jack Harris Photographed by the Athletic Model Guild

The Athletic Model Guild took this fantastic photograph of Jack Harris.

When you jump to this post on the blog, you will see more images of this model taken by AMG, but I don't think there exists another photograph as magnificent as this one of this handsome man.

Rex Ravelle Photographed by Spartan of Hollywood

Spartan of Hollywood took this great photograph of Rex Ravelle, a massive bodybuilder, who worked as a stuntman and stand-in for Johnny Weissmuller in the successful Tarzan franchise.

J. Embanks and W. Baxter

Here are two wrestlers photographed around the turn of the twentieth century.

The man on the left is identified as J. Embanks, weighing in at 155 pounds, while W. Baxter, weighing 150 pounds, seems in peril on the right.

Bud Counts

This photograph was likely taken at the same time as this one on the blog and is clearly the better executed of the two.

Bud Counts has a spectacular physique.

Bill Pugliese Photographed by the Western Photography Guild

The Western Photography Guild took these five images of Bill Pugliese, of whom I could find no other information.

I think he has a great physique and love how hirsute he was.

Dale Curry

Here are four more great images of Dale Curry. I suspect the photographs with the intricate wall patterns were taken by the Athletic Model Guild, but I have not yet been able to confirm this.

I especially like the one of Dale seated on the table in someone's home: he looks like he takes quite seriously his role as an art-class model.

Jack LaLanne and Jack Thomas Photographed by Russ Warner

Russ Warner took these images of Jack Thomas and Jack LaLanne, who passed away January 24, 2011.

Years later, LaLanne denied these photographs existed.

I look at these images and marvel at the joie de vivre both men clearly exhibited more than half a century ago in a parched field somewhere in Southern California.

Fred Jensen Photographed by David Martin

David Martin took these great photographs of Fred Jensen, of whom I am tracking down more images.

I think he has a fantastic smile.

John Miller Photographed by the Athletic Model Guild

The Athletic Model Guild took these excellent images of John Miller.

I have several more photographs of this handsome model that I will post in due course.
