Jerry Ross was another popular beefcake model in the 1950's. He appears on the cover of the Athletic Model Guild's Physique Pictorial in 1954.Obviously, he put in a lot of hours bodybuilding, which paid off for him, when he won the titles Mr. Venice 1954, Mr. Muscle Beach 1954, Mr. Apollo 1955, Mr. Los Angeles 1955, Mr. Southern California 1955, and Mr. California 1955.
I do not know who he is wrestling with in one of these photographs, but I do suspect he is permitting the man to appear to have the upper hand.
