James Galbraith Photographed by Bruce of Los Angeles
Bruce of Los Angeles took these images of James Galbraith, who appears in the thirtieth volume of The Male Figure, in which Bruce tells us James traveled the rodeo circuit before joining the navy. When these images were taken, James was nineteen years old, had only been bodybuilding for two years, was five feet, seven inches tall and weighed one-hundred-fifty-six pounds.
Though I find a bit comical the Western motif popular in beefcake photography, I especially like the image of James outdoors tying up the tree and grinning over his shoulder at us.
