I am always happy to receive requests for images of beefcake models.
A devoted reader, Lo, who impressed me with her creativity when she constructed for her friends Christmas booklets made from this blog's photographs, asked for images of Joe Dallesandro, who modeled for the top beefcake photographers in Los Angeles a decade or so before securing immortality as a Warhol model.
I do not know who took these images. My favorite is the one of him wearing white briefs and smiling (albeit tightly) into the camera, a nice contrast to his bad-boy reputation.
Most are screen caps from a movie he did for AMG. It was included on the DVD of the movie "Beefcake" about Bob Mizer and AMG.
