Richard Bennett Photographed by Les Demi Dieux

As I write in this post on the blog, the photographer only known as Les Demi Dieux photographed his male nudes in the 1960's without the Roman and Greek props and costumes needed by the photographers working in the first half of the twentieth century to help ligitimize their images.

In these four photographs of Richard Bennett posing nude outdoors and beckoning from an opened door, Les Demi Dieux has made the popular physique model immortal not just with outstanding lighting and interesting textures, but with Richard projecting a profound longing rather than lust or a base awareness of his own nudity.
