Dan Lurie

These photographs of Dan Lurie were likely taken in the early 1940's, before the bodybuilder became quite massive.

I am tracking down more details on Dan's life - He is rumored to have almost brawled with John Grimek in the late 1940's on who was the more muscular bodybuilder.

Among his many accomplishments, Dan owned and operated a chain of gyms and was the publisher of the magazine, Muscle Training Illustrated, for more than three decades.
