Reg Park won the title Mr. Universe in 1951, 1958 and 1959, appeared in five Italian sword-and-sandal films in the 1950's and - a massive man at six feet, one inch tall - is on record as having bench pressed 500 pounds.
He appears alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the classic bodybuilding documentary, Pumping Iron.
