For information on John Barrington I recommend "Physique: the Life of John Barrington", by Rupert Smith, Serpent's Tail Books - most of his models were lovers, although he was married. It also contains a wealth of info about Royale, Scott, and the whole English physique scene as well as fascinating insight into the era and the world of an independent male-nude photographer. Based on extensive diaries and sketchbooks, of which I wish I could find more.

ReplyDeleteI think Barrington had sex with most of his models and in this instance who could blame him! I read somewhere that Yves had been a pilot.
