George Haimsohn makes his premiere on this blog with this photograph of Don Curtis.
Haimsohn used the name Plato for his physique photographs, which were quite popular in the 1960's.
He wrote poetry, stories and, using the pseudonym Alexander Goodman, several gay pornographic novels.
He is best known for co-writing the book and lyrics to "Dames at Sea," a musical that launched Bernadette Peters' career and remains as popular today as when it premiered in 1968.
Haimsohn passed away at the age of 77 in New York City in 2003.
