    For Thursday, I am returning a regular theme that I think is important enough to be repeated again and again … photographers who were prosecuted and imprisoned for making and distributing male nude material. No one , in my opinion, paid a higher price than Lyle Frisby who died at age 29 after a year of harsh treatment by the authorities following his arrest in 1956. I am starting with one of his photos of John Manning, a Native American who went on to work for a number of photographers. We must never forget those who suffered so that we can enjoy the freedom to view these beautiful pictures.
